Prophetic Word: Pregnant With Greatness

GET READY TO WALK INTO YOUR GOD-APPOINTED DESTINY AND BIRTH THE DREAMS JESUS DEPOSITED WITHIN YOU

“Not one promise from God is empty of power. Nothing is impossible with God!” Luke 1:37

Mary was just an average young girl living in a village when an angel visited her and said she’d carry the Son of God in her womb. This story seems nice and beautiful when we read it in the Bible, but we often struggle to relate this story to our own life.

At least I did!

Then one average morning about four years ago, my little niece told me on the swing set, “You know, maybe one day you could tell stories like in the Bible.”

It was the most sweet and innocent moment, delivered from the mouth of this small child. My mom had recently died and I was drowning in grief, but something about my niece’s words brought me back to life. I pondered it in my heart, but then decided I didn’t want to open my heart to others.

Yet, something about my niece’s words made my spirit leap for joy. A series of events then later evolved that made my heart run to the Father and I’ve spent the years that followed at the feet of Jesus.

God truly loved me back to life and raised me up like His beloved child. The Bible became my guiding light and blueprint of how to heal and grow in my life. The story of Elizabeth and Mary is one of my very favorites.

Today the Lord wants you to remember Elizabeth’s story and how it pertains to YOU! Here are three important reminders on my heart to share:

1. SOMETIMES GOD WILL SEND OTHERS TO SPEAK AND CONFIRM PURPOSE OVER YOUR LIFE. THESE MESSAGES WILL OFTEN ARRIVE IN THE MOST UNLIKELY MOMENTS WHEN WE DON’T HAVE THE VISION — OR HEART — TO EVEN RECEIVE FROM JESUS JUST YET. DO NOT DISCOUNT ANYONE OR ANYTHING. THE LORD CAN DELIVER HIS WORDS IN THE MOST MIRACULOUS WAYS.

This happened all throughout the Bible. In the first chapter of Luke, we meet a woman named Elizabeth who had been barren all her life. She was such a sweetheart, but lived with great shame because in Biblical times, women were celebrated when they brought forth boys to continue the family lineage. Well, Elizabeth and her husband, Zechariah, were faithful to God and prayed for a child — but the Lord never answered their prayers.

YET.

When the couple was well beyond child-bearing age, God stepped in, rewrote their story and forever changed destiny.

We can never discount the power or timeline of the Father. The same God who formed you in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5) also birthed certain dreams and desires within your heart. I feel like we are seeing something very new and magnificent in this current generation. The “dreams” and “divine births” are absolutely spiritual for many people, but this is also a physical mandate that is about to blossom all around the world. The Lord has shown me that many couples who believe they are beyond child birthing years will soon receive the news that they are pregnant in older age. The Lord has shown me this repeatedly the last couple of years, so allow this to be confirmation for many of you that the promise God gave you will still come forth. We are entering the year 2022 and with it comes an overflow of multiplication. The “two” mandate outlined in Genesis 2:22 will start this year, where God is going to bring together miraculous marriages and multiple births for many couples who are getting married and/or having children together for the first time in their life. These are God-ordained marriages, meaning they are marriages that will likely come on very fast because the Lord has been putting this in motion for awhile. He’s healed each person separately and once they are brought together, they will instantly recognize their “helpmeet” and the other half of their rib outlined in Genesis 2:22-24.

All the hard work has been done in the years prior when these people submitted to the Lord first and found their complete identity in the Father first. The pandemic time was a period of incubation from the world’s systems to get these people’s hearts in alignment with God. This had to happen separately before the Lord ever brought them together as one. The purpose of these marriages is more than just a husband and wife. The purpose is because they have Kingdom mandates attached to them. These two people must come together because of the children they will bring forth. And I believe the Lord is specifically going to do this with people who are like Elizabeth and Zechariah and believe they are older than normal couples and beyond childbearing age.

Yes, Elizabeth was a lot older, but I believe the Lord is specifically doing this for people in their late 30s, 40s and even 50s. Do not be surprised if this year and the next we see an overflow of twins and triplets being born from these individuals. These marriages and births will take place in the years 2022, 2023, and 2024. See Genesis 24 with the story of Rebekah and Isaac for more references. Many books and movies will also be birthed from these miraculous testimonies that will carry us through the next couple decades. These men and women are forerunners. God is changing the narrative back to how He created marriages and families at the beginning of time. The Father is extremely serious about families and He’s going to raise up a new generation that lives out Spiritual Truth and walks in God-ordained purpose as an example for others. Many of these forerunners are breaking off old bondage of past generations in their family lineage where the family unit was dismantled. God separated these men and women to give them a new identity in Christ. Then the Lord will take these men and women and bond them together with someone similar in spirit. The foundational truths of God will be central for these couples. Many of them will be set in high places with influence and jobs that are in non-traditional ministry realms like businesses, corporations, Hollywood, arts and entertainment, sports, coaching, teaching and even medical industries. They have the Elizabeth and Zechariah mandate attached to their lives and their children will have a tremendous impact on the world.

Okay, back to the lesson! Since Elizabeth was barren and never had the child she dreamed about, she likely dealt with tremendous heartache. Then one day, destiny collided with the ordinary.

2. WHEN GOD TELLS YOU TO DO SOMETHING, NO MATTER HOW INSANE IT MIGHT SEEM, BELIEVE HIM AND OBEY. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO MAKE SENSE IN OUR HUMAN EYES.

Zechariah was a priest and also the beloved husband of our girl Elizabeth. One day, Zech packed his lunch and satchel and headed to the temple gates like always. Custom called for lots to be drawn and the winner would go inside and burn incense before the Lord.

For years and years, Zechariah showed up and never got picked. If he was around 60-70 years old, I’d imagine that doubt started to creep in. Do these thoughts sound familiar?

Thoughts like “does the Lord really love me? I’ve been so faithful and righteous and devoted to God, but all I see is despair. I’ve devoted my life to loving and serving Him, but nothing seems to go right. Am I doing something wrong Lord? Does my life have any purpose? I want to serve you, and I know Your ways and thoughts are higher than mine, but my chances and days are slipping away.”

So in Luke 1, Zechariah arrives to his job like he’s done countless times in the past. And guess what?! On this day his number got called! He went from the back of the line to the front! This priests all cast lots and Zech was finally picked!

In the Bible, casting lots is mentioned 70 times in the Old Testament and seven times in the New Testament. We don’t know how exactly the lots were decided. I visualize it kind of like the show Survivor where people draw rocks and the colored rock is the winner. Others believe the priest might’ve pulled sticks of various lengths or coins. Either way, the priests highly believed that God was orchestrating the entire decision and it’s true because the Lord selected Zech that very miraculous day!

His moment had arrived! And yours is coming, too!

For Zechariah to get picked was a miracle. God can literally intercept our lives and change the direction of destiny forever on the most ordinary day! Scholars believe there were about 20,000 priests in Christ’s time, so no priest would ever offer incense more than once. Zech was likely in shock and awe — and just felt so loved by our Heavenly Father! His big moment was here!

There was no guarantee he’d ever even get his shot in this lifetime — but God ultimately came through for Zechariah. The Lord has the same blueprint in mind for His chosen. If He appoints and anoints you to a certain calling or career, there’s a purpose attached to that promise. And that purpose might not always make sense to you for a very long time. But then one day, you realize that everything is connected and the Lord has divinely orchestrated this entire situation behind the scenes. He positions you into place. You suddenly realize it was never about the dream or the goal. It was about destiny. The Lord needed you there, in that very place, because He needs you to help others. You are the answers to someone’s prayers.

So our man Zech gets inside the temple to praise God and pour out his heart, and the Bible tells us later in Luke 1: all at once an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing just to the right of the altar of incense. Zechariah was startled and overwhelmed with fear. But the angel assured him, saying “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God is showing grace to you. For I have come to tell you that your prayer for a child has been answered. Your wife, Elizabeth, will bear you a son and you are to name him John.’”

Mic drop.

Here Zechariah thought he was going inside the temple to praise the Lord with all this love and thanksgiving, but it was God who actually arrived to shower Zechariah with a promise. God had the angel tell the man about this wonderful son that would soon be born. He would be a forerunner to Christ and the angel spoke all these other magnificent words about this future boy!

BUT THERE WAS A TEST.

Zechariah received it all…his ears heard it, but his heart still doubted. Beloved, do not discount anything the Lord has told you no matter how ridiculous it seems. Just trust Him. Trust Him. If the Creator of the entire universe and Maker of all the stars and sand came to tell you something — it’s miraculous!!! TRUST HIM. It’s not your voice or your own hopes and expectations if your Spirit recognizes it’s from God. Your knower will just know. Trust that still, quiet voice.

Zechariah still doubted and asked the angel: “how do you expect me to believe this? I’m an old man and my wife is too old to give me a child. What sign can you give to prove this will happen?” (Luke 1:18)

It’s easy to look down on Zechariah and question how he didn’t believe the angel in this moment. Yet, so many of us are the exact same way!!! God shows us a dream or speaks words to us or even reveals what’s to come in our future and we often wonder “wait, did I really, really hear God right or did I create this inside my head? Lord, can you show me one more sign?!”

🙋‍♀️I’ve been there many times, so I empathize with our guy Zechariah in this moment. The same thing will happen in our own journey. When you start to perceive the voice of God, He’s so loving and kind and will work with you because it’s all so new.

But then there comes a day when we have to get off the milk and chew on some solid food. We have to stop just “thinking” and “doing.” We have to start believing and trusting with our whole heart to pass the test.

But since Zecheriah didn’t believe in this promise — the Lord made him mute for the entirety of Elizabeth’s pregnancy! Zecheriah wanted a sign, so the Lord answered and gave him the sign of utter silence! 😂 The Lord cannot have any doubt getting in the way of our girl.

I envision Elizabeth waking up all early and whispering sweet prayers to this little baby growing in her belly. She prayed to God during this time and thanked Him for this miracle. She didn’t need Zecheriah then piping up from around the corner asking “Why did God pick us? How is this going to work out exactly? What should we tell the neighbors?” So the Lord made Zecheriah mute. This allowed Elizabeth to have peace and solitude to hear from only God during this important period of her life. She was raising a world-changer and forerunner that would later be known as John the Baptist. Thus, she went into seclusion for five months and got away from the towns people and spent time with the Father. Her seclusion was simply her way of dealing with this remarkable situation.

Elizabeth wasn’t hiding out of necessity, but purpose. In these early months, it would be easy to hide her belly with large clothing. This tells us it wasn’t about the physical. Her seclusion was because she wanted to treasure the promise in her heart, rather than broadcasting it to the world. She went away to meditate with the Holy Spirit about the destiny of the child within her. This is a phenomenal blueprint of what to do in our lives when the Lord “births” new dreams within us!

Which leads us to the final point…

3. GOD WILL SEPARATE YOU IN BIRTHING SEASONS TO ISOLATE YOU FROM ANY DISTRACTIONS. THIS ALSO OPENS YOUR HEARTS AND EARS TO PERCEIVE EVERYTHING JESUS WANTS FOR YOU. DO NOT RESIST THIS UNCOMFORTABLE SPOT. IT IS CRUCIAL DURING YOUR DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE AND WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PERIODS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.

Just like many of us, when the Lord delivers something powerful and mighty, we need time to step away and work it out with Jesus. It’s important to keep these dreams and promises quiet and close to the heart because if we speak about them too soon, it allows the enemy to disrupt the divine flow. Sometimes this can happen by others discounting what God told us or even self-doubt can creep in. Jesus needs your complete attention. It won’t make sense to others, but trust in what the Lord told YOU.

This time period is extremely important to sit quietly with Jesus before the promise actually ever comes forth. Silence is such an important tool in this season of life for you.

For me, after my niece spoke that I should write stories like in the Bible, I thought about it often. I actually believed her! I believed God! And when my heart fully believed, then the Holy Spirit overwhelmed me and started downloading words, inspiration, dreams, and signs and wonders every single day! I came to know Jesus in an entirely new and intimate way. Most of all, the Bible became this entire living, breathing guidebook in my hand. Yet, it all started with just a tiny seed of promise that made very little sense with my natural eyes.

For years, I wrote down everything God taught me and kept it all in my journals. Quietly. Without telling a soul.

Then one day in December 2021, the Lord told me it was time to share with others everything Jesus taught me. This idea deeply terrified me. We went back and forth for two months, but I didn’t want to be like Jonah and run from the very Father who loved me back to life. It felt safer in the hiding place with Jesus, but then He reminded me of all the people who needed His love.

So, if you’re reading these words, then I must’ve finally surrendered to my Father’s dreams over my comfort.

The truth is though, the words aren’t just for me. They’re for us -- the body of Christ and the Lord’s beloved children. We’re just like Elizabeth and Mary. God has planted a dream and desire within all of us. It’s been uniquely designed and created just for you. You are pregnant with greatness and oftentimes it won’t be what you expect. If it seems easy to obtain -- that’s not it. The promise will seem unattainable and might even scare you to believe and imagine. That’s because you can’t do it on your own. You need the power of our Heavenly Father to perform on your behalf and you must first surrender to His Will above yours.

The journey into the unfamiliar has been the story of my life. Over and over, I have learned to obey and yield to Jesus even though I sometimes (more like oftentimes) do it kicking and screaming. As you start this new period in your life, I encourage you to TAKE A RISK and DREAM BIG with our Heavenly Father. Life is all about choices. Today, make the firm choice to finally let go of your goals and personal desires and choose the narrow path with Jesus.

Be a Mary. Be an Elizabeth. Treasure what God has given you.

After all, you’re pregnant with greatness and the world needs what you will someday birth!

ACTIVATION: Remember the scripture from Luke 1:37 this season of life. Pin it everywhere you go. Tattoo it on your heart.

“Not one promise from God is empty of power! Nothing is impossible with God!

That’s your rally cry from this day forward. The Father is whispering to you right now: Nothing is impossible with God!
