PROPHETIC WORD: Crossroads; choose wisely!
This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Jeremiah 6:16-20
This is a season of comebacks as you boldly follow Jesus into the unknown! You are in the right lane, at the right time and your turn is right ahead! It’s so important that you stay locked in with the Father at this time!
Some of you are about to step into the overflow.
You'll hear the Lord with better clarity.
You'll experience the depth of Christ's love to a greater extent.
There will be an abundance of JOY and celebration.
All you have to do is connect with Jesus at the right place and right time. Even if the path seems crowded, it won't matter. God will make a way for you.
Many of you have been through a long season of testing and purging that might have extended for the last few years. Gradually….steadily….bit-by-bit, the Lord has transformed your life to renew you in the image of Christ. Now, you will step into a season of spiritual promotion because you have learned to humble yourself in the eyes of the Lord (James 4:10).
You have an assignment to fulfill, and the storm you recently faced was all about territory. The enemy of darkness wanted you to abandon ship and return to your old ways. The warfare didn't make sense to you because you didn't understand the magnitude of your calling.
However, Jesus taught you to stand in the rain. You learned to sing in the rain, and now it's time to truly LEAP into a new beginning.
The Lord always gives me a word for the new Hebrew year; this year, in 5784, He gave me CROSSROADS.
In Genesis 12, the Lord told Abraham to leave the familiar and set out for a new land selected by the Lord. God said, "Go," and "I will show you."
“So Abram departed as the LORD had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.” (Genesis 12:4).
The name Haran means "crossroads."
It represents DECISION TIME.
When you get to this point, God will make it clear which way to go. However, you get the choice to follow.
God's call to Abraham – and his faithful decision to LEAVE – jump starts a new legacy because a nation will be born from his lineage. God vowed to bless him and make Abraham’s name great. He also promised to make Abraham a blessing to others.
The Holy Spirit is repeating this story in my heart for the second week in a row because there is legacy attached to your decisions right now.
King Jesus is pushing you to take a leap of faith, even when afraid, because people are attached to your obedience.
The Lord is also stressing to SPEAK when told. God wants faithful servants willing to bring the Kingdom of God to a world in desperate need of a Savior. God's people must rise at this hour and speak the Truth; otherwise, the "ways of the world" will drown out the mightiness of the King we serve.
This is a time to go ALL IN. The Holy Spirit is on the move, and He's roaming the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are entirely devoted to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).
Here's what the Holy Spirit is speaking to someone….
Two paths are opening before you. One way looks more straightforward than the other, but there are landmines you can't see. That path will seem comfortable, familiar and resourceful, but your soul will weaken with each step. It's filled with the world's lusts, including vanity and materialism. The people that way are valued for what they do more than who they are.
The other path – the narrow road – is marked TRAILBLAZERS. You might be the first person in your realm of influence to follow that path – but you'll meet Jesus face-to-face. There will be living water that never runs dry and enough fish and bread to fill your belly.
The road is filled with green pastures and peace and many SURPRISES! You will sing, laugh and dance with a new song. The love of Jesus Christ will intertwine with your heartbeat, and together, you will enter new spaces and territories and do mighty things to help God's people.
If you take the narrow path, you'll eventually arrive at a destination marked Ephesians 3:20:
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”
Take the first step.
Abraham's first step led to more descendants than the stars in the sky. Jesus eventually came from his lineage.
The woman with the issue of blood took the first step out of her house and eventually was publicly vindicated by Christ. She got a new life and was healed of her disease.
Esther took the first step and approached the king even though she could be killed. She was favored and chosen by the king and saved her people.
God is pushing you to take the first step towards your destiny. He will be with you every step of the way. Like Joshua, the Father says: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).
Remember the significance of coming to a crossroads. Two paths intersect, forming a large cross – pointing to the One who already paid the most significant cost for your life.
Jesus IS the Crossroad. His way is always better.
In this past season, you learned that dying with Christ really is to gain (Phil. 1:21). You were willing to decrease, so that God could increase.
As you keep taking up your cross each day, Jesus is teaching you a new way to live.
The Father says to embrace the newness of what He has to offer. You are ready to fulfill a new role and this will be a season of promotion, prosperity and provision. Everything is for the glory of God and you have proved yourself worthy of this elevation.
As soon as you take the first step – there will be a release of what was promised to you. God is setting you up for a monumental move of the spirit! Again, there will be many surprises along the way!
Through your obedience, other faithful spiritual trailblazers, forerunners and pioneers in the Kingdom of God will have a blueprint to follow.
Your life will become a beacon of HOPE and you will show others that all things are possible with Christ! You will know with certainty that the Father's goodness, mercy and FAVOR is following you all the days of your life!
Jesus Christ stands at the center of the crossroads. It is through His sacrifice alone we find true hope and freedom. Through His grace, we are freed from religious bondage and legalism to walk in Spirit and Truth.
As you take the new path, the Spirit's fruit will become very evident in your life. The aroma of Jesus Christ will follow you wherever you go. You will become empowered to please the Lord Jesus with your thoughts, behaviors and actions.
My sister or brother in Christ – this is a new era in the Kingdom of God and it’s so important to keep SHINING YOUR LIGHT even in the darkness.
The world needs to know what it means to truly live.
Choose the narrow path!
God will be with you every step of the way!
Remember Paul's words to the Philippians:
Now, you must continue to make this new life fully manifest as you live in the holy awe of God—which brings you trembling into his presence. God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him.
Live a cheerful life, without complaining or division among yourselves. For then you will be seen as innocent, faultless, and pure children of God, even though you live in the midst of a brutal and perverse culture. For you will appear among them as shining lights in the universe, holding out the words of eternal life. (Philippians 2:12-14, TPT)
