PROPHETIC WORD: The Land of Opportunity

“The kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.”

Matthew 13:47

Hi everyone! I just love when the Lord Jesus speaks through everyday experiences! The other day, I was out jogging through a small fishing village where I’m currently staying. In the days prior to this moment, I kept hearing the lyrics, "God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you," playing over and over in my spirit.

The Lord later started prophetically speaking about a season of transition for His people—a time when endings merge into new beginnings. I believe many of you have experienced a spiritual journey full of twists and turns, ups and downs, but the broken road leads to King Jesus. You have endured, persevered and pushed through even when the odds were stacked against you. Now the next part of your life adventure is about to get underway!

Here’s where it gets really exciting! During my jog, I ended up at a fishing port. Right away, I noticed all these fishermen cleaning their nets and boats. One boat’s name stood out to me. In bold, unmistakable letters, it said: "OPPORTUNITY." Instantly, my spirit leaped with joy! Since then, I've been asking the Lord what it all means!

Here’s what the Holy Spirit is highlighting right now: many of you are about to step into the LAND OF OPPORTUNITY!

Conditions are favorable for you to pursue something you’re passionate about or feel called to do. And anytime we see fishermen or fishing, it points to people in the Kingdom of God. The opportunities presented to you will help rebuild the Kingdom of God. Seeing those fishermen and their nets reminded me of when Jesus called His first disciples at a fishing port.

He said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Today, He’s extending that same invitation to you!

A NET-BREAKING BLESSING

When we think of opportunity, we might picture career advancement, financial gain, or personal success. But in God’s Kingdom, opportunity means something much deeper. It’s the chance to be part of the Lord’s grander plan that is coming true. When we cast our nets on the right side of the boat—on the side of God's love—we get to reach more people and reflect Christ's compassion to a broken world.

I want to encourage you today, dear friend. The broken roads you’ve traveled may have been difficult and taken longer than you expected, but they’ve led you to this divine moment of opportunity.

This story reminds me of Peter and the way the Lord Jesus prepared him for ministry through his career. Peter was a professional fisherman. He knew the waters well and understood the art of fishing. Yet, one day, despite all his knowledge and experience, he came up short and caught nothing. That was when Jesus appeared.

First, Jesus stepped into Peter’s boat to share the Word of the Lord (Luke 5:3). In those days, without modern technology like microphones or electronic devices, speaking from the boat acted like an amplifier and carried the word of the Lord more clearly. The boat was a vessel to reach more people.

In the same way, you are a vessel chosen to share the Word of the Lord. Just as Jesus used Peter’s boat as a platform to amplify His teachings, He has chosen you as an instrument for special purposes (2 Timothy 2:21). When you speak from the heart of Christ, your words hold great power! Remember, Jesus has appointed you as His ambassador (2 Cor. 5:20) for this generation. All you need to do is trust His words and speak them boldly. Just like Peter’s boat, you are a means through which God’s truth can resonate in the modern world!

Jesus then instructed Peter: “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch” (Luke 5:4). This command went against Peter's experience as a fisherman—fishing was typically done at night when the fish were more active and easier to catch. At night, Peter could avoid detection by the fish, as his shadow would be hidden in the darkness. Night fishing can prophetically symbolize a season when a person has been operating in the background, unseen and unnoticed. Yet, we cannot remain hidden forever. When we are called by God, He often asks us to act in broad daylight, where His power and purpose can be fully revealed.

God’s instructions defied Peter’s understanding, but he responded in faith, saying, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets” (Luke 5:5).

Everything changed for Peter from that moment forward.

When Peter obeyed, he cast his net exactly where and when Jesus instructed and experienced a miraculous catch! The net was filled to the point of breaking, and they had to call in help for the overflow. A "net-breaking moment" for a believer is a time when God’s blessing, provision, or breakthrough exceeds all expectations and it comes at a time when you least expect it.

The mighty catch reveals a powerful truth: when Jesus directs your path, He may call you to do things differently than the world would advise. He may lead you into deeper waters, asking you to step beyond your comfort zone and trust Him fully, even when it defies human logic. But remember, when you obey His voice and follow His guidance, King Jesus brings about a great and mighty harvest—beyond what you could ever achieve by your own strength or understanding.

Jesus told Peter: “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” Instead of focusing on the material blessing of the fish, Peter chose to follow Jesus, leaving behind the very thing that had brought him worldly success. This moment marked the beginning of his discipleship journey.

Net-breaking moments are extraordinary because they lead to a profound realization of who Jesus is and His overwhelming love for us. These experiences are not just about material blessings, but about the abundance of God's grace, mercy, and restoration that He pours into our lives. When we experience this kind of spiritual overflow, our testimonies have the power to encourage and influence others in their faith journeys. Just as Peter had to call for help from other boats, the abundance of God's power often spills over into the lives of those around us, becoming a powerful testimony to His greatness.

In these moments, we humbly fall at the feet of our Savior, acknowledging our unworthiness, crying out, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!" (Luke 5:8).

PROPHETIC WORD

In this season, I believe the Lord is saying: “What you have sown in faith, you will now reap in abundance—an abundance of My Spirit, an abundance of breakthrough, and an abundance of souls. Be ready, for I am calling you to walk in boldness, to share the message of My love, and to watch as lives around you are transformed by My hand. All you have to do is follow My directions and be willing to launch out deeper when called. Your days of hiding in the shadows are over. I, the Lord Jesus, am commissioning you to carry My word to all the earth.”

It's time to rise and look beyond the end of the road and see a new and expansive path leading to better days. Some of you might even be tying up loose ends right now because you need to make room for the new things God has in store. God may close certain doors or delay certain desires to shape our character, faith, and endurance. This process prepares us for the greater things He has in store. Like pruning a tree to produce more fruit, God limits us temporarily to bring forth greater fruitfulness in the long run.

During my run, tears streamed down my face because I felt a sense of closure for God’s people. I rejoiced as I reflected on the long seasons of hardship you've endured, and I celebrated how you’ve persevered through it all!

Now, you are being called to fish from a boat called OPPORTUNITY!

Your vessel will hold the power of the Most High! You have a cloud of witnesses cheering you on, so be strong and courageous! As I turned around to jog back home, I felt a sense of freedom for you. The path ahead will require steady and consistent effort, but all you need to do is keep your focus on Jesus. I hear God saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant. You have done well. Jesus is so proud of you."

You are standing at the threshold of new beginnings, and this new opportunity will require you to step out of your comfort zone and into God’s marvelous light. He will show you the way to go and teach you where, when, and how to cast your nets. And remember, as God begins to bless the broken roads of your life, King Jesus will restore all that was lost and lead you straight to Him.

Be encouraged!

Sending you love and blessings,
Tamara
