PROPHETIC WORD: From Caves To Conquests! Get Ready to SHIFT into the new thing!

“In the course of time, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and he took Gath and its surrounding villages from the control of the Philistines.

1 Chronicles 18:1

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord says some of His people are stepping into a 1 Chronicles 18 moment in time! On two separate occasions in this chapter, the Bible says, "The LORD gave David victory wherever he went" (1 Chronicles 18:6, 13).

The Holy Spirit has repeatedly shown me these verses, and I know this word is for many people who have walked the narrow path with Jesus, regardless of the cost. Father God wants to stir you to action because change is at hand!

Some of you are entering a season of spiritual abundance, where you will effectively lead others to Christ. You are ascending from survivor mode to expansion mode

The life of David serves as a profound example of what a kairos season entails for God's people. In the Bible, a "kairos season" refers to a specific time period marked by divine intervention, significance, or opportunity. During this time, God's plans and purposes are particularly active or accessible.

In the New Testament, Jesus speaks of the "kairos time" when the kingdom of God is at hand (Mark 1:15), indicating a pivotal moment of opportunity for repentance and salvation. Throughout biblical narratives, such as the story of Esther or the ministry of Jesus, we see kairos moments where God's providence aligns with human actions to accomplish the Lord's will.

A kairos shift happened for David in 1 Chronicles 18 when the tables turned dramatically in his favor! After years and years of isolation, hiding and fleeing from the enemy, David started racking up repeated victories against his adversaries.

How did it all come to pass?

The Bible makes it clear that "the LORD gave David victory wherever he went."

The Hebrew term translated as "victory" or "preserved" (yasha) holds profound significance in the Bible, symbolizing salvation and deliverance.

The word represents both physical rescue and spiritual liberation.

"Yasha'" (similar to "Yeshua," the origin of "Jesus") is a significant Hebrew term denoting aid, rescue, and deliverance.

Yasha represents divine intervention by the hand of Yahweh and the Lord Jesus drastically transforms a person's life, lifting them up from the depths of despair into His glorious light!

Here's what the Holy Spirit placed in my heart…

Just as David experienced a turning point in his life, some of you are also on the brink of new beginnings. A new chapter is here, and everything is about to change!

You will become a fisher of men and learn to cast on the right side of the boat. The harvest is ripe and God is looking for those who are willing to follow Him at all costs. The Lord is calling on His faithful ones to start pioneering and building into the kingdom because there are many lost souls in this world.

The Lord wants to use you!

David received a spiritual promotion for the benefit of God's people.

In 1 Chronicles 18, King David started defeating neighboring enemies and dedicated everything back to the Lord. He stewarded success responsibly and his unwavering faith and devotion to God made him an effective and powerful leader. There were many moments that David wanted to give up, but he endured and God rewarded his efforts. David was far from perfect, but his heart was in the right alignment with Christ. When he sinned, he understood how to repent and suffer with a holy perspective.

Your trials have also been a massive part of your preparation for greatness!

Remember: everything in the kingdom of God is counter to the culture; to go up, we must go down. We have to become less so that Jesus can be greater.

In 1 Chronicles 18, we see a massive shift in King David's reign, and things start to turn in his favor.

After years of highs and lows, "in the course of time" (v. 18:1), God flips the script, and everything changes.

This is your turning point, too.

As you move forward in this season, I want you to grab hold of Paul’s words in Romans 8:37:

"We are not just conquerors, but overwhelmingly victorious through the love of Christ.”

Romans 8:37 reassures us that, because of our union with Christ and His love for us, we have the ability to overcome any adversity or hardship we encounter. We are not merely survivors but triumphant conquerors, empowered by the love of God manifested in Christ Jesus.

BETTER DAYS ARE COMING: DIVINE FAVOR IS AT HAND

Today's message is for those who have felt the weight of hopelessness and despair that might have extended past its due date. You have battled the relentless pursuit of the enemy for years or even decades. At times, you see the hand of the Lord in your life, but at other moments, it feels like you're drowning in a sea of fogginess, uncertainty, and hope deferred.

However, rest assured that change is coming, and it's happening rapidly! A longing fulfilled really is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12). When our desires are fulfilled, it brings a sense of vitality, joy, and abundance to our lives, much like the imagery of a tree of life which symbolizes nourishment, growth, and flourishing!

Just as David experienced a divine turnaround after seasons of hardship, God is also on the move in your life!

Here's what to expect in the coming months: the winds of change will catapult you into a place of divine favor, and the hand of the Lord Almighty will move unmistakably on your behalf. This is a time when past struggles will give way to an outpouring of favor and triumph.

The shackles that once held you bound will suddenly break loose in the name of Jesus!

Be watchful for the Lord to move in very unique ways in this season. Some of you have been bound to something that happened in your past for far too long. Now, the Father is coming to loosen the chains once and for all. He does not want you stuck or complacent. You are an eagle, and the days of playing it safe are over; the Lord has destined you to FLY.

The winds and waves you once feared actually blazed the path for Jesus to step into your boat and switch things up on your behalf.

Here’s what to expect…

  • The mountains that once seemed insurmountable in your life will be leveled, and you will step over former challenges with ease.

  • Relationships filled with tension and brokenness will be graced with harmony and peace.

  • The giants that once attempted to overtake your destiny will be subdued and demolished with overwhelming evidence.

  • Your ashes of mourning will soon become the breeding ground that gives birth to destiny.

  • God will make you a light to show others the way. He will whisper the words of Isaiah 49:3 into your heart: "You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor."

My brother or sister in Christ: you have not labored in vain nor spent your strength for nothing. What is due to you is in the Lord's hand, and God will reward you because He can trust you to steward the overflow well.

It’s time to swing into spring!

You have entered a moment that is pregnant with purpose and nothing can stop this great move of the Lord!

1 Chronicles 18 narrates a significant turning point in King David's reign, marking a period of expansion of his kingdom.

Remember, David was anointed by the prophet Samuel as the future king of Israel while Saul was still reigning (1 Samuel 16). However, he did not immediately ascend to the throne. There was a gap of approximately 15 years before David actually became king over all of Israel. Just like Joseph, he was trained and tested so that God could convert him from a shepherd into a king.

There is a big difference between being anointed by God for a position and stepping into the role; David’s life makes this clear. Therefore, be patient with your dreams and goals. When God calls you to greatness, there is often a long progression of time before the full promise is made manifest in a believer’s life.

After David's anointing, Saul became increasingly jealous and sought to kill him. David spent years on the run, hiding in caves and wilderness areas, gathering followers who became known as his mighty men. Despite his hardships and dangers, David's faithfulness to God and leadership qualities became evident as he navigated these tumultuous times.

Eventually, David became king over Judah, but seven years and six months passed before he became king over all of Israel (2 Samuel 5).

This marked the beginning of a new phase in his reign, where he sought to establish a strong, united kingdom.

Spiritually speaking, God has secured and preserved some of you in long cave seasons, but now is the time for you to emerge. God wants a unified kingdom; many of you are His faithful servants, trained in spiritual warfare, and you will be called forth to start subduing and defeating the enemy. The Lord is going to use you to bring peace and clarity to others by teaching them Biblical truths. The days of God’s people being divided by religious customs and beliefs will be broken down as we come together in unity and peace.

How will this happen? Through Jesus and the Word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

To “win” people to Christ and sucker punch the evils of darkness — you must stand on the Word of God this season. The Word of God is not merely a collection of historical texts; it is alive, active, relevant, and powerful for all generations. There is only one truth, and it’s found in Christ alone. Scripture should be revered and studied diligently because we are given the cheat code of God’s plans for our lives and humanity.

The Lord Jesus is calling His people into a deeper relationship with Him, and we must swim further from the shoreline with the Holy Spirit at this time.

King David had a deep understanding and appreciation for the Word of God and he also used his Holy Spirit-inspired gifts to help others; in fact, some of the greatest psalms ever written happened when David was fleeing for his life and he used those times to pour out his heart before the Lord. David recognized that God’s Word carried authority, wisdom and transformative power, and he relied on it wholeheartedly in his spiritual walk.

David’s life serves as an inspiration for believers today to cherish and prioritize the study and application of Scripture.

In 1 Chronicles 18, we see David's kingdom firmly established, and he begins to expand its borders through military conquests. This chapter describes David's victories over neighboring nations. These conquests secured Israel's borders and brought wealth and resources into David's kingdom.

The tide turned for David as he transitioned from a fugitive fleeing for his life to a victorious king expanding his territory and influence. It had been a considerable journey from his anointing by Samuel to this point of triumph, marked by years of struggle, adversity, and dependence on God's guidance and protection. But through it all, David remained faithful, and God honored him by fulfilling the promises made to him.

Now, in 1 Chronicles 18, David transitions from survival to expansion mode, solidifying his position as the ruler of a unified and powerful kingdom.

The life of David is a testament to God's pattern of elevation and progression for those who walk in faithfulness and obedience.

Beloved, it's your turn to be favored and promoted in the name of Jesus. God will do tremendous things in your life, and the only way you can receive it is at the feet of Jesus.

Favor is going to give you a big YES this season!

God might also start stirring your heart to change your routine while getting your mind, body and spirit in alignment with His plans because you’ll need endurance for the race ahead.

This is not a time to look at the crowds or pay attention to the approval of people.

Jesus has to be your sole focus and His voice is all that matters.

Prepare your hearts, for God is about to breathe life into the dry bones of your circumstances, bringing forth resurrection power and abundance to places that seemed dead. Watch as new life springs forth, for the hand of God Almighty is at work, and His promises are coming alive in your midst!

SOME PRACTICAL STEPS FOR THIS SEASON:

  1. Clear out the clutter and distractions.

  2. Take a leap of faith when God says GO.

  3. God is mending and healing families and broken relationships. Be open to facing people and places that once scared you. The LORD is bringing restoration.

  4. Remember that everyone won't be excited about the change in your life and that’s okay! The Lord sees you! That is why the Lord wants you freed from approval addiction before this mighty move of God.

  5. The days of manna are over; this season, you must put your hand to the plow and get to work. God has graced you with the ability to do something rare in this generation. Follow Him at all times!

  6. When things get tough, remember it's often part of God's plan to get you to a better place.

  7. God wants you to start DREAMING BIG. The world teaches “hustle culture” but God’s ways are vastly different. Less is actually more in the Kingdom. When we “dream big” with the Father we ask Him to show us the way to benefit others. In the days to come, start praying for CREATIVE MIRACLES!

  8. Use your spiritual gifts, and don't quench the spirit in this season. Your gifts matter in this world. Be faithful to what the Lord Jesus has given you, and use those gifts to help others.

  9. Anticipate unexpected blessings from Jesus Himself. These gifts will unmistakably bear the presence and favor of God.

  10. Remember that GOD WILL NOT FAIL YOU! He won't! You will be doubly blessed and fruitful in the land of your affliction. You will also be doubly blessed and fruitful in the land of your calling.

  11. Also, some of your careers and ministries are about to have a resurgence. There's another door and a second opportunity about to open.

Remember, God's faithfulness knows no bounds! You are so very loved by the King of all kings. Jesus is proud of your perseverance, even when it seemed like all hope was lost. Some of you are reaching a full circle moment, and I want you to go back seven years. As you reflect, the Father will reveal how healing and restoration has come. You have made it to the other side!

Congrats, graduate!

THE YEAR OF THE LORD’S FAVOR
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
(Isaiah 61:1-3)
